The fact that one feels cold with a fever and want to cover up is a cruel trick of “Mother Nature”.The worst thing to do with fever is to wrap up in blankets, holds the heat in.Also fever should not be treated until it exceeds 101.5.
Even though I know this, when I get fever I feel so bad I take Tylenol and wrap up in blankets.

February. 103 fever for over 4 days.

But the worst part was I went to urgent care because I felt shitty.

I'm a big guy, but my blood pressure is always spot on. Resting heart rate is in the 50s.

Clocked a 197 over 130 with a pulse at 140 bpm. 02 was low as well.

They gave me fluids and bp meds. Didn't budge it. The second my fever broke... It all went back to normal.

No way you had a 107 as a toddler...

That is near death as a healthy adult.

I, like someone else mentioned, have a hard time believing this was the actual temp. 107 fever in a toddler would cause brain damage.

I don't know mine, but I remember my daughter had a febrile seizure last year with a fever of 105. I. freaked. out. Amazingly my wife was relatively calm, and I can still remember how hot to the touch my daughters skin was. scary shite.

My 1 year old last year did the same thing... We both freaked out. I've never been so scared in my life.

Came home from a hunting trip while in college and measured at 103. It was around 6pm when I fell asleep. I woke up and saw 2:15 on the clock next to my bed. When I rolled over I saw light in the window and realized it was the next day. I had slept for 20 hours.

A touch over 104 about 10 years ago when I had pneumonia. I went immediately to the hospital, and spent the night there. Funny thing was I really didn't feel all that bad, just weak and tired. A mild flu I had a couple years later made me feel much, much worse and my temp barely broke 100.

2nd grade with measles, 107 for 24 hours, not below 104 for 3 days.

Since then never above 102.

I had the flue, strep, and bronchitis all at the same time. I passed out in the waiting room of the doctor's office. That was fun.
