My understanding is that GMC basically exists so that Buick dealerships could have a truck to sell. The trucks themselves are essentially identical to Chevy.

i can tell zero difference on the inisde, nor how they drive. The front end of the gmc looks better is all i got

agree completely. i have a 2017 silverado and was deciding between that and a sierra. i liked the sierra grill better, but my wallet like the chevy better.

Exactly the same !!-Parts are interchangeable- They come off the same assembly line-just re-badged differently.

Nameplate and some interior layout.

And now they are actually putting separation between build with separate wheel wells and the multi function tailgate.

They're literally the exact same thing when comparing equivalent equipment groups.

The 6.2 in the Denali is the only difference.

this is not entirely accurate, but it's pretty close. the slt gmc usually is about same as chevy ltz, denali adds a few extra bells and whistles not found in chevy (at least for tahoe/yukon - could be different for trucks).

i found that the gmc is about half a trim grade ahead of the chevy. slt gmc price wise usually sits between the lt and ltz chevy, and denali is the highest of both.

If you have to ask, you don't need to know.

they are the same thing, except one has really shitty commercials that make me not want to buy their truck, and the other doesn't have those commercials, but since i know they are the same company, i don't want to buy that truck either now b/c of those commercials.

Current bodystyle:

GMC has unique front end/grille, headlights, taillights, front fenders, hood, bed panels, wheels, and real aluminum trim on the dash. 2014-2016 also had different interior lighting color(red). I think more GMCs come with a locking differential also.

Denali was the only truck with MagRide suspension but High Country might have that now.

2019 models - many differences we don’t know details on

I think Chevys will have the round wheel well again while the GMC keeps the current squared version.

Built on the same assembly line, mixed line feed across any mfg day. Options might differ. Slight body style differences. I think the engines and drive trains are identical.

I had read an article back in the 80's about this. It appears then it was quality control. I remember it was one out of every 500 GMC's produced were pulled to be fully inspected and the Chevy's were inspected less frequently. Don't know if this holds true today.

Is the High Country Chevrolet comparable to the Denali version of the GMC?

They didn't have High Country when I bought my last Chevrolet.

I freaking love the Denali diesel’s.

The Chevy version of the saw truck is kinda plain looking really.

Don’t know how it is now, but in the earlier days GMC had a much stronger build frame. Although they Java always shared style similarities with Chevy. FWTW
