And didn't the murder in Lafayette that the OT solved (don't remember the name - guy on here sister was dating the killer - epic story) dump the body there?
White truck, girl on bike?

But this thread made me think about something else I want to start a thread about.

If I had to lose a body. Not in a serial killer way like self defense but you don't want lawman finding out. I'd drive it down to theriot. Launch into some private Marsh I know of. Go about 3 miles in. Walk 30 yards out into the grass and bury that shite under the floatilla. Gators would eat the shite out of it.
Swamp between Kraemer and Vacheire baw
Or the swamp between Gheens and Des Allemands

Because people see it. They're generally too stupid to go a little further into the swamp, which would actually work

So will a drum full of acid and a machete to chop the body into enough pieces so it will fit and the lid will seal. Back of the garage a few weeks then just dump down the storm sewer. Never need to leave the house.
Is it that easy to get a barrel full of acid?

Yeah. I mentioned him in the OP. And it was his wife's sister, I'm pretty sure.

Well it really is but for someone not wanting to be noticed buying a large amount just buy small quantities of hydrofluoric acid then borrow or buy a plastic drum. Can't use a metal drum. Hydrofluoric acid will eat through metal.

Yeah the farmer always finds those bodies when he starts cutting cane.
Guy I went to high school with was murdered, chopped up and tossed into several cane fields in West Baton Rouge Parish. Tractor found most of him.
Should have used acid.

If you're thinking of the Brandon Lavergne case, he didn't dump her body there, he buried her in a shallow grave, not far from my home. I've seen it, it's actually at an old cemetery between Mamou and Oakdale.

He dumped the bike there

South Louisiana is a great area to get rid of a body.
Posted on 12/13/16 at 5:53 pm to Hot Carl
Where the hell else would you dump one?
I like drowning people in a bathtub of Fruit Loops.

this is exactly what I thought. Where the shite can you buy acid in the first place?

That's right. How long between them finding the bike and her body? I can't remember.
Posted on 12/13/16 at 5:56 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
Unlimited area if you own a boat

That's right, and to Hot Carl, I think it was a couple of weeks. They had arrested Brandon, and he led them to the body. The cemetery where he buried her is on Hwy 10, on the way to my old hunting lease. I actually stopped there a couple of times to reflect on life. I was amazed when it hit the news of where they found her. I stopped by about a week later, and found the site, just outside the cemetery area under some bushes....It was filled with balloons and signs, such as "We never stopped looking for you, we finally found you". It really hit me hard, even though I didn't know the victim.

That was epic OT.
No doubt. My dad was getting on to me the last time I went home. He said "I just don't see how you can stay on there reading about LSU so much." "Dad, you have no idea. We break news and solve murders and stuff. Football is for amateurs."
