They are basically canned vodka sodas. I don’t have a problem with them. Local breweries in Atlanta are making them too like Scofflaw

Women substitute it for beer so they can get shitfaced without getting fat. /thread

Bartle and James Watermelon-mint is fricking legit.
And at 4 or 5% abv, it isn't a bad break from beer for a night or so.

I don’t see what is a fad about a low carb alternative to beer that appeals to young people and women.

It has more alcohol in it per 12oz than a light beer with equal the calories and zero carbs. Thats the deal and thats why they make money and continue to sell. They also dont taste bad like some allude to. If you dont like white claws, than you probably dont like non-alcoholic drinks like La croix which is another drink that is very popular. Its amazing what some of you will bitch about.

It’s a good change of pace from beer occasionally.

Only the first one tastes bad

How do you think chewing tobacco and sushi became popular.
It's not hard to figure out that both are disgusting.
I bet you think you sound smart too

I am a life long Bud Light drinker. I've probably averaged a case a week for the last 25 years. I tried white claw while sitting on the beach last summer and I immediately loved it. I don't drink it all the time, but it's a nice alternative every once in a while.

I showed up to a party one day and all the rich folks were drinking that truly shite. Guess I didn’t get the memo. shite was disgusting when I tried it.

I don't think this is a fad. LINK

In its survey of 1,029 alcohol-drinking Americans, UBS finds that more people now say they are drinking hard seltzer “regularly” (21% vs. 19% in September), a lot more people say they are drinking it “occasionally” (32% vs. 27% in September), more say they are “familiar but never tried it” (19% vs. 18% in September), and most telling of all, far fewer people say they are “not familiar” with it (14% now vs. 21% in September).
UBS also reports findings on why people are drinking so much hard seltzer: the biggest driver is taste (48% of respondents); then it’s because they “like trying new things” (43%); then “seeking variety” (32%); and, tied with the previous reason, the belief that it’s “healthier” than other beverages (32%). It’s interesting that, despite all the hard seltzer marketing that has focused on the product having fewer calories, taste and newness trump health appeal.
