There’s people who beat their dicks hoping that a Cat 5 hits, Morganza floods everyone’s camps / cattle, the Mississippi overruns the ORCS and diverts down the Atchafalaya displacing millions.

What’s up with these people? I don’t know a single person here in North Alabama praying and getting a hard on over an EF-5 hitting.

My house flooded out in Denham in 16, and that was beyond shitty, but I still think extreme weather is pretty frickin cool.

A lot of it just seems to be gallows humor.

I was present in BR for Gustav and there was legit glee at the possibility BR would be completely ravaged.

I loved not having power for 8 days in September in South Louisiana with a 1 year old baby.

My FIL lives in Central Alabama and he goes driving around looking at them. Beer between his legs. Old man is nuts

For the women, it's the prospect of "having" to haul arse and spend a week or two living in a hotel and eating out. Husband will either figure out how to work OT or whatever and cover it, or she'll divorce his arse and get someone richer.

I'm sure there are but it's not a majority of people, in fact it's likely an incredibly small minority. I know a lot of people and I don't know a single person who feels that way.

That's probably because they are planning their wedding to their first cousin.

If the Mississippi changes course it'll be the biggest natural disaster since the New Madrid earthquake. Damn right I'll drive down there to watch it happen.
