What’s the deal with Orange Beach?

So I go out to the beach and right before I get to the waterline, there is like a 4 foot drop. I’ve never come across this before.
Please explain.

It varies daily based on the tides. Tomorrow it’ll be completely different.

You should have seen the drop back in the early 90s when they had real waves.

They have to dig a deep trench every 5 years to allow for runoff from the FloraBama.

It will be gone in 6 weeks.
