tempur pedic
First one bought in 2005.
I believe back then I paid $3,500.
Replaced that one to a new one a few months ago. It’s was around $5k, but I like it.

Aren't mattress stores a front for CIA money laundering operations?

I went through the mattress shoping thing a yr ago due to back/neck problems and bought a $1200 firm conventional style mattress. Fast forward and I still have some issues and the best mattress I found to sleep on was at my brothers house. It is a $300 Amazon special ( memory foam type). It is as good as any I have ever slept on.

we have been happy with our Helix Midnight Luxe. We had a tempurpedic before and this feels pretty much the same to me. We've had it going on 3 years and find it to be a good value in the $2k price range.

I just bought a memory foam mattress off of Amazon for like 400 dollars. It is the best mattress i've ever slept on.

The Zinus is leagues better than whatever crap name brand mattress my ex bought at many times the price the price. This is the specific model I bought in 2020 for the princely sum of $443 (prices have increased, shocker:)
The problem with mattresses is that so many of them are so expensive, they produce a lot of Choice Supportive Bias. This is why people go round and round on Chevy/Ford, fight about motor oil, insist the $8k TV is the only one their kids can watch Dora the Explorer on, the Big Green Egg is the best thing EVAR, etc.

We bought it for our spare bedroom and my wife and I slept on it to try it out. We love it. Quite a few people have slept on it and always say it's the most comfortable bed.

I bought 3 Tuft & Needle mattresses in 2016. They have been amazing.
