9 holes: Last summer in Sandestin. Made the turn even (36), Par on 10, 3-putt 11 and 12, and went downhill from there to finish +8 (80). Damn I hate a 3-putt......

18 holes: After college at some shitty course just north of Dallas--shot +5 going out and even coming in for a 75 ( par 70)

Horror Story: Summer before senior year of LSU I was dating a girl who's father was an avid golfer. One weekend he had an opening in his normal four-some and invited me to join. Of course the gf was all excited, but all I could think about was whether or not to kick his arse if I could...
The gf and I had a party in NOLA the night before, then head back across the lake to her parents place where I (eventually) crash in the guest room. We didn't lay down until ~5am, and her dad comes knocking at 6. I feel like death warmed over and the driving range is closed. It didn't matter bc I spent my "warm up time" puking my guts up in the clubhouse.
I proceed to open with bogey, double, bogey, then triple to finish the first four holes +7. After puking behind a tree on four, the dad and buddies are regretting inviting me bc I told them I was a 10 handicap at the time and here I was stinking up the course.
Then I turned it on....
I proceed to follow that up w 12 pars and a birdie to head into 18 at total +6. The group went from being pissed that I was there to asking for tips.
I split the fairway on 18, and as I stood over my approach (~120yds) the dad tells me "If you par this hole, you'll shoot your best round ever!". Never cld get settled over the ball and proceed to pull a wedge (way) long (way) left OB. Wound up doubling the hole to finish with an 80 (+8). fricker didn't even apologize.
But he shot an 88, so f him.

TL;DR - ex gf dad was a dick, kicked his arse on the golf course

68. Northwood in Shreveport in 2005. I couldn't come close to that now. That was back when I was playing 4 days per week and was one of those once in a lifetime rounds on the course I grew up playing almost every day. Now, I'd be lucky to break 80.

Several times I've shot 38 for nine (last time at North River in Tuscaloosa), but have never broken 80 for 18. Best 18 score was 81 at the old LSU course.
