Just retired a Yankees hat from 2001. Son of a bitch fit like a glove and was loyal to the end.

New era lasts a while. I rarely toss them.
The one I want to get rid of I wear to run and work in the yard. It still lasts a while.
I have about 30-40 fitted caps that I plan on keeping for a while.

I bought an LSU fitted cap while I was a student around 1990. The fabric wore out in 2017.

20 plus years.
I have CWS championship caps from the 1990s, I have World Cup 1994 caps. The Detroit Tigers, White Sox, and Astros fitted caps are from the early 1980s.

They are both kinda brown but I have a 2003 "white" LSU hat that I bought in 2003 and semiretired it in 2011. White Saints hat I wore to Super Bowl 44 that also got retired from games after NFC Championship game

Hats are weird for me. Nothing against them at all and wore the heck out of them in college but the older I’ve gotten the less into them I am. Anyone else this way?
