refusing to apologize for a frick up. Resturants are chaotic...shite happens..orders forget to get put in, you forget to bring the drink I ordered out, steaks get under/over cooked. If you come to me and say, "sir I am so sorry... _____ should be coming right out" we're good. If you frick up and don't acknowledge it or worse I tell you my steak is overcooked and you inspect and try to argue... Im not coming back

Auto gratuity and fees mean no extra tip.

Wait in line for basic food

I will leave a restaurant if we are sat down and no one comes to get our drink order within five minutes if it’s not busy. Now, honestly, if it is slammed that doesn’t particularly bother me. As long as the staff tries, I have no issues. If they apologize for screwing up, I have no issues. If they give attitude or eye roll any situation, I will ask for the check immediately and leave. That’s just about it. However, if I get food poisoning, I will never go back. I don’t care how good the place is. I’m pretty easy to get along with I think. Also if my waitress or there are several waitresses, that are damn good looking I don’t really care about the first few parts of this post

Pretty much just if the food is bad or it’s now in the ghetto. Exception made for Tony’s Seafood.

There used to be a budget Buffet chain called Ryan’s. Food wasn’t great, wasn’t terrible, that kind of place. Steaks were the main draw. Went to one for a family birthday, lots of cousins, etc. This was 30 years ago. Anyway, get up and go to the dessert bar. Looking at a piece of pie when suddenly, a big roach comes up from under the table, and then walks in a straight line across every dessert in its path, one end of the table to the other. Couldn’t go to any buffets after that, except for Chinese places, as they tended to keep their food covered.

If the service sucks, I would never return.
Service can improve, heck even by having a different server but if a restaurant’s food is arse, why would I give them my money?

I can handle semi poor service when a restaurant is balls to wall slammed busy but when it's shitty service and not busy - that grinds my fricking gears

Bartenders and wait staff that seem inconvenienced that they have a job.

Automatic gratuities then asking for an "additional tip" on top of that.
Or, doing what Texas Roadhouse does now and upselling by asking if you want your steak with gravy, then not mentioning there's a $2 upcharge.
Yeah, the petty shite for sure. Our local mexican restaurent charges me $2 for a second cup of salsa on our carryout order. If I went in to dine I would get unlimited salsa but on a to go order you only get one small cup no matter how many orders you have.
I finally got fed up with it and told the little teeny bopper cashier to go get the manager. I was nice to her, wasnt her fault. But I did have it out with the manager who could not see my point that I would take my $40 order elsewhere next time and he could save his salsa. I have not been back since.

Wait staff who need to steer clear of large magnets.
