I thought about this kind of stuff the other day.
As a middle aged man I look back at some of the kids that were targets and it makes me feel so shitty even though I didn’t get involved much.
They had hell at home and then came to school to catch hell.

We had a very dark black guy that was 6'6"....Smut Truck. He was the nicest guy and laughed about it. On the football field, he would drive right over you.

There was black a kid in 8th grade back in the mid 70's that the other black kids nicknamed kooba nut.
The name was given to him because he sort of looked like the guy from the old 7up commercial talking about "cola nuts". Somehow cola nut got morphed to "kooba nut".
Good times.
