I don't get people complaining about the heat this year. We had a week of unusually warm weather in May and then one week of truly hot weather in July so far and the next ten days are not supposed to get over 87.

Its not great, but could be worse.
Bars are closed, but you still have Ivars, Superior, Mid City Beer Garden, Zippys, etc.
Restaurants are open.
You need your mask to walk into and move around in anywhere in BR, but can remove once you sit down.
If there's somewhere specific you want to go, check their Instagram. That is the most helpful as far as who is temporarily closed, temporarily counter service, etc.

Which makes me question the car mask wearers even more. How do you walk from the store/office to your car with the mask on without sufficating? Much less get into a hot car and still not take the mask off.

As disappointing as ever.
Medium size cities that have both a state capital and a major university should be a lot more live than BR.
Except for the weather, Madison, WI and Columbus, OH are light years ahead of BR. BR is a lot more like a deep south version of Lansing.... only within driving distance of New Orleans.
