This was a big story a few years ago. Rumors of a serial killer on the road. Then it died.

Did I miss the conclusion?

NOLA PD determined it to be wayyy too much work to try and put the pieces together.

The shooter was probably killed in some random place of NOLA east.

Hot take

It wasn’t a serial killer/shooter. It was opportunistic gang/thug violence with no regard for civilians getting hit in the crossfire

I know someone whose car got shot and despite what they may say, I doubt it wasn’t targeted

It wasn't just random shootings. They were targeted hits. Victims were all criminals. People are very vulnerable while driving and riding in a car. Murder rate is way down from 18-24 months ago.

Don't jinx it. Got caught up in traffic one Friday afternoon a couple years back because the interstate was shut down to investigate a shooting. Took me 2 hours to get home. Keep that shite in the neighborhood and stop bothering working folks just trying to get home

Probably just rumors being rumors and unrelated incidents.

I thought I remembered one that was a random person. A nurse if I am remembering correctly.

Sorry, I got busy with life. I'll get back to shooting this summer. Didn't mean to disappoint

Riding with criminals, take your chance.

They are now building a bike path along that beautiful stretch of highway.

My uncle actually had his vehicle shot at a few months ago in the East, so the suspect must be still alive and well.

Does seem like it would be better to do with better weather. Like a nice spring or fall day.

The local media stopped reporting about it, which means it never happened.
