Weather and not climate.

Precisely.

So, last year when people bitched about it raining all the time it was weather?

This year when people bitch about it being dry it is climate?

Is that what you are implying?

Have no clue where the pop up showers have gone, but I'm on the verge of officially declaring my yard a desert!

Really? Just a year ago people from south LA 'round this joint were whining about too much rain.

People have short memories. Last year it was really hot in May around here and we had a really mild summer because it rained so much. I do remember SE TX having a drought but that certainly wasn't the case in S LA

I'm fawking with you. I like to get a rise when talking about climate change. People on here hate it. I live in ETX. It's a desert here now. I'm somewhat concerned about grass and forest fires now. I live in the woods.

Gotcha.

I started looking at August rainfall for the Lake Chuck area anyway. August of 1999 recorded 0.00" of rain. The stretch of August-November was remarkably dry. It continued into 2000, and had it not been for November seeing decent rain it would have been a terrible drought. It took Spring rains to finally break it.

Actually this shite is grating on me. It was 106 here today. Looking at the long range there are days of that kind of stuff to come. Told the wife it's time to get a Sprinter van and migrate north for the summer. Maybe Northern Wisconsin.

If long range models are correct come November the pattern is going to flip and it’s going to be a really wet winter

I live in Mentone, Alabama. It hasn’t gotten above 90 here more than 2-3 times all Summer and it has rained every day for the last week. I can’t imagine living in Texas or Louisiana

Haze is actually pretty bad here in Lafayette area. Had to get up to 5,000 feet to get above it

The weather is absolutely beautiful all summer long anywhere along the shore of Lake Superior. Stray too far from the water and the afternoons get warm

You must live north of the Dolly Parton bridge

It's pretty much rained or been a chance or rain everday all summer in North Alabama. Just had a shower. It's like a Sauna outside. It was already humid as all get out before it rained.

I’m almost hopeful we get something like that in S La soon. This constant heat and no rain is honestly tough to deal with.
I can’t remember a summer like this in my 40+.

Hardly a drop in quite awhile just south of the Dolly Parton Bridge, it's all been east of us.
