Went cold turkey.

How did things turn out? Need closure.

I'm not the one who started a thread about it. But I did it cold turkey. Was fricking brutal.

This song actually has a pretty good description of the physical hell you go through during withdrawels. Even though it's about alcohol not opioids, some of the withdrawels symptoms can be quite similar.

False

Opioid withdrawal can be extremely painful but isnt dangerous

Alcohol/benzo withdrawal isnt as painful but you can die if not done in a controlled setting.

I said SOME of the symptoms can be Similar.

Specifically, the feelings of bugs or electricity running through your body. Which also causes the hand shaking, especially at night when you are trying to sleep.

It's a living hell. I did it, I should know. My first week off, I slept 12 hours....total.

I know TigerHusker was struggling here just recently.

Now that I mention it I haven’t seen him post in a while.

Well, all except the fact that alcohol withdrawals can actually kill you.

Opiate withdrawals are like the flu, but without sleeping through it.

Flu x100. I don’t wanna go thru that shite again.

After quitting my sex drive was fricking ridiculous. I wanted to bang it out with the wife 2-3x a day every day. It was crazy

This. It was one of the only things that raised my endorphins enough to cover the shakes for any kind of time.

Flu is selling it short, the "electricity" in my joints was the most brutal thing I've ever dealt with. And it took over a month for it to go away completely.

Diarrhea for 2 weeks wasn't fun either.

At my peak, was around 180mg of Percocet(w/o acetimenophen) a day.

When I finally got off, was around 60-80mg of Norco a day.

Was on them for 5 years.

A buddie of mine stayed on Oxy's daily for close to two years, said he spent well north of $100,000 staying high.

He kicked it cold turkey, went and stayed at his families lake house for three months.

He said it was HELL

Electricity

Not sure how else to describe it. Some people describe it as bugs, others just say shakes.

Kinda felt like every joint in my body was on fire, but it rippled. My knuckles and fingers were the worst, followed by wrists, elbows, toes, ankles, and knees.

Went 69 hours without sleep at one point.
