If you've got a full-time job, it's just another chore. If money is no issue, I'd assume you probably don't have a full-time job anymore. At this point, both can be therapeutic (as long as you have the right tools for car maintenance because there's nothing more frustrating than trying to use a regular tool where a specialized tool is needed).
