I was looking to see how many female serial killers there have been. There was a woman, named Amy Archer-Gilligan (1868-1962) who killed anywhere between 5-50 people.. That's a pretty big range..

Weren't Uday and Qusay pretty high up there? There were quite a few stories about them terrorizing the people of Iraq before the US invasion.
Historically Vlad the Impaler was a pretty accomplished mass killer and torturer. He did have some power of state as well though - making him pretty far from a lone wolf abducting single people. He was more famous for killing and impaling hundreds at one go.

Holmes' ancestor has doubled-down on this pretty hard to sell his book.
Recently he's claimed that Meghan Markle is his distant cousin, so Jack the Ripper's blood will now be in the Royal Family.
Evidence for the Ripper theory is pretty thin IMO.
