For me....
- raise GPA requirement to a 3.0
- if you do not graduate you have to pay it back
- must have a 23 on ACT
- no foreign language requirement
- must complete in 4 years

Like, graduate with a degree in 4 years or pay it back? Or just it ends after 4 years like it already does?

After 4 years you can no longer use it, if you fail to graduate you pay back what you used.

Yes because adding two years of foreign language helps so much
if that is the case then they should increase it to 4 years.

What would I do?i used it for four years. Then I footed the bill the next two. Then I graduated.
I will add tops only covered part of my tuition. I took out reasonable loans which I'm paying back.

To incentive kids to stay in Louisiana, I would double the reward but the student is required to stay within the state for at least 2-4 years post grad. If they leave they have to pay it back with interest.
If they stay, no repayment

I'm a better man because I'm bilingual. And smarter.

Ah, didn't know that. A guy I know used it past 4 years but maybe filed appeal or it changed?

Two years of a foreign language made you bilingual?

I think it is a marvelous program and I would figure out a way to keep it afloat in its current form. the south spends a lot to keep the uneducated afloat and this program has done a fine job of getting kids into school when they would have otherwise done nothing.
