The real question is who's behind them and what the true agenda is. We know what they ask for, but there's something more than just trying to gain equality.

I think it's all planned to create complete and utter chaos and turmoil, to break the nation apart. The source? Who know? Russia? Soros? ISIS? Some type of domestic terror cell that we don't know about?
And you have the fricking dumbass puppets who are getting compensated somehow who just follow along thinking it's really about equality. For all they know, life really is about protesting and somebody is going to compensate you. They're a bunch of real life sheep being led to slaughter. I would hope those people protesting will grow up and wake up one day, and be absolutely humiliated for getting played like they are being played right now.

Well, I maintain that the parents of the drum-bangers in that video were born closer to 1970 than 1950.

I could take, personally, any five of those pieces of shite myself. The folks I usually hang out with could each take any five also. This is why they don’t do shite like this around here. It would not end well for them and they know it. Solution: Don’t be a pussy and don’t hang out with pussies. Beat any fool that harasses you senseless until the foolishness ceases.

There's a reason that the worst parts are in Portland and Seattle. You're right, they wouldn't do that shite here. They might not be that smart, but smart enough.

Me too, and we’re the younger Gen. Xers (born 1965-1980). I suppose a handful of boomers (born 1945-1964) could have had some of these assholes later in life, but the vast majority of these little shits are children of Gen. Xers. My oldest kid is only 11, so don’t blame me.

So many thoughts on this:

—I applaud the ice-cream eaters for ignoring them and eventually walking away. At 16 or 17, I was athlete, but certainly not a badass. However, I and the 3-4 other friends that would have been there with me eating ice-cream were definitely smartasses and after assessing the group, would have launched into a verbal assault of our own. There’s just no way our adolescent egos would have allowed us to be silent. (That’s why it wouldn’t surprise me if one of them did say something before the video started, though I would hold them absolutely blameless.) But nothing good could have come from making a scene—it would actually have reenforced the “protestors” and empowered them and their insane and ironic belief in their own moral superiority.

—the white kids protesting are beyond pathetic and absolutely nauseating. I would hate them all were it not for the delicious irony that they have somehow been allowed, or even encouraged, to join in in vast numbers and co-opt the “cause” that literally hates them for their whiteness. I mean, why in the frick do the black “protestors” even want them there?

“White people are evil—they’ve kept us in either literal or figurative chains for the last 400 years. They have created the systemic racism that permeates every institution in this country that makes it impossible for us to rise up to social status ladder to be successful. White people are the enemy and must be stopped. Except for all these Bradyns and Kaydyns—they’re cool.”

Lol. It’s hilarious how entitled and stupid she sounds about gentrification. Neighborhood demographics change all the time. She’s only shortsighted enough to see as far as back as white flight.

So what was the point?

Exactly. There is no point. Those kids had nothing to do with the gentrification of that area they seemed to be bitching about.

And then their chant of “What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!” is fricking meaningless and abstract. What exactly does this “justice” they demand actually look like? Will they know it when they see it? Of course not, because it’s merely a feel-good idea(l) that can’t be quantified. Or at least they’ve failed to quantify it.

It seems pretty fricking obvious that protests can only be effective and affect any kind of change, if the protestors articulate exactly what they’re after in concrete, measurable, quantifiable terms. But they really don’t want that—they don’t want any real change. They just want to be allowed to throw their (perceived) self-righteous temper tantrums, while the very systems in which they claim to hate, subsidize their food and income, allowing them to continue their daily ridiculous whining without having to get fricking jobs.

And as others in this thread have mentioned, this is actually having the exact opposite effect of actually creating more division and refueling ACTUAL racism that had largely dissipated or lain dormant for 3-4 decades. This irony and the fact that they are too far up their own asses to realize it would be quite funny if it weren’t for the violence and deaths that this whole “movement” has spawned.

But I feel worse for the 99% of black folks in this country who want nothing to do with these protests, but may wind up being affected by a resurgence in real racism, not just systemic. I have had hundreds of interactions with black people of all ages and both sexes since all this started, and not one had even the slightest hint of negativity. In fact, most of them were downright pleasant. They’re generally just trying to get through the day like the rest of us.

This right here is why I think the whole thing is staged. It's staged, not so much in that all the participants are in on the joke. It's staged, in that the ring leader(s) of all these supposed BLM rallies have a different m.o. than simply protesting for equality. And they've sold the idea that it really is about Black Lives Matter to the young naive inexperienced unemployed and underdeveloped 20 somethings who just follow right along like a bunch of fricking retards. White and black.

"Hey kid! Want to make some money? Go yell things in the street with this crowd! You want equality right? Go yell about how everything is fricked up right now!"

And then you have people who start making shite up (those types will ALWAYS do this) - the nooses, the supposed attempted lynching, etc. Come on man, this isn't Mississippi Burning. Nobody does that shite anymore... They are trying to get their 30 seconds of attention and capitalize on all the other bullshite going on right now. And whoever is behind the idea of this, is giddy from excitement that people like that are taking the idea and running with it. Then you have the overachiever type (like the girl in the video) who shows up with a bullhorn and works herself into a frenzy making up chants and yelling at people.

The whole thing is so fricking fake (as far as the motivation behind it). Most black people roll their eyes at everything.

Yes, this is the key to all of this. Most people, no matter their race are not on board with all of this. The media, however and all of the idiots who think it is the voice of the nation, are the problem. Real people, your neighbors and people you know are certainly not down with it.

ometimes I wonder if they're trying to incite a full on race war.

It's because some of them are. I honestly believe that. Or at the very least, they are trying to create as big of a divide between races as humanly possible.

Why, I have no idea. But when you have people like Lebron James, for example, making up hate crimes for attention. Or Jamele Hill tweeting that if you vote for Trump, you're a racist..no exceptions. shite like that is only done for one purpose: attention. And all of the secondary effects of that attention are negative and negatively impact race relations in the country. There is literally no other rational explanation for shite like that.

And it is to intentionally drive races apart and piss off the other race(s). And at some point, that dissension will lead to violence against one another. That's why I honestly believe that a race war (in some sort of form) is exactly what the endgame is for these people.

One thing that gives me hope is that I've found that people are generally nicer these days. And not just between races, although that happens as well. But just in general, people in and around BR that I've come across over the last few months have been downright pleasant. And they always have been, but lately it's been palpable and super noticeable. And that's what I hop the vast majority of people feel like in the country. The idiots in these videos are in the minority, but their voices are the loudest right now because of social media. I honestly believe that most people are in line with what I've experienced lately.
