I'd live in Natchez before I'd live in the biggest shithole known to man, Monroe.

Live in Jena.

I would stay in Winnsboro. Monroe is sarcastically called "Funroe" because there is not much to do there.

Stay in Winnsboro and find you a wealthy farmer's daughter, win-win

40 minutes is what a lot of people drive every work day of their career.

But considering you're ~22, I say save as much money as you can. You could figure out the actual amount you're saving and put it into a retirement fund. Compound interest is a powerful thing.

I live 7 miles from the office and it takes me 40 minutes both to and from. Lafayette traffic blows

Stay in Winnsboro.
There's a Walmart so get your wardrobe there to blend in.

Go to church right off the bat to meet girls.
On weekends, you'll get invited to party at Lake Bruin, Lake St. John, Bayou Louie, Ect.

Don't forget it's a quick drive down to Ferriday to the Delta Blues Museum and the Jerry Lee Lewis Drive through liquor store and museum.

In Monroe, the Flying Tigers Museum is worth a stop.

At that point, all you've got left you should see is Poverty Point and the Vicksburg battle field. Both are impressive. And maybe the Sicily Island waterfall on a short hike.

Take the boards advice and stay in Winnsboro and then when you meet your husband come back here and recount how this thread led you to the love of your life and tell everyone how y'all eloped to Vegas for your non-denominational civil ceremony. Congrats on PIIHB (his).

40 miles/minutes isn't anything for a commute.

What kind of job has training in Winnsboro? There is no industry there to train for.

Save the money! It's not like Monroe is more than about a half step better than Winnsboro.

In reading this, I wish my GPS had a button to route avoiding these types of areas.

Jesus god those demographics are Mississippian.

To the OP: Get a place in (We didn't) Winnsboro and don't commute.
You'll curse the commute every minute of every day if you don't.

Congrats on graduating and actually finding a job in Louisiana! This has proven to be getting more and more difficult in the past couple of years.

Stay in Winnsboro, Tinder might not have good numbers but there will be a few country girl gems out there.

Avoid the commute. You're just starting your career. There will come a day in your future when you are in big city traffic and you'll look back at your 5 minute Winnsboro commute thinking "those were the days"

I'd probably stay in Monroe, where you can at least have a semblance of a normal life for a college grad.

Why the frick do you need a bunch of random people on a message board opinion? If you just graduated college it sounds like you need to grow a set of fricking nuts and prepare for the real world and not look for everyone to spoon feed you.

I would save the money and stay in Winnsboro. Then meet a bunch of girls on the internet from Monroe and drive up there on the weekends to bang em.

Plus, I'm sure there are some in Winnsboro too.
