I decided to just drink it with a few ice cubs. Feel like if I did mix this, it would go good with like Dr Pepper or some bullshite like that

Me personally neat. Master P told me to mix the Louie with the Grand Mariner 150. I told him I was just a college kid couldn't afford that and he chuckled.

Well that is an acceptable option. Since Grand Marnier is a cognac as well.

but, every once in a while i do enjoy a favorite cocktail of mine, the Sazerac:
Ingredients: 1/4 oz Absinthe, One sugar cube, 1 1/2 oz Rye whiskey or Cognac, Three dashes Peychaud's Bitters
Preparation: Rinse a chilled old-fashioned glass with the absinthe, add crushed ice and set it aside. Stir the remaining ingredients over ice and set it aside. Discard the ice and any excess absinthe from the prepared glass, and strain the drink into the glass. Add the Lemon peel for garnish.

That’s some authentic New Orleans culture baw. I just mixed in some syrup and enjoyed it with a stogie.

I’ve seen a lot of those people treat it like try hard white people do good bourbons. Eranges and cherries with a little of that syrup and/or with splash of 7.

Nothing, you heathen. There's a reason you don't see a cognac listed as an ingredient on any bar or restaurants cocktail list
Sidecar? I am disappoint, hemp.

Cognac is NOT to be mixed. Come on.

Nor bourbon. But I see people doing it all the time. But since its the season, Tom & Jerry's are made with brandy. As is the classic B&B.
