I live in a spacious three bed two bath triplex. My rent is less than 300 a month. I have two roommates. One of which I've lived with for about 5 years. The other just one. The short time roommate sprung on us that she needs to move within the next month or two. No big deal. Find someone else to move in.

Fast forward a few weeks. The one person we could find to move in is a friend, but not someone I am very keen on living with. I have been actively searching for a two bedroom around town. By some miracle this three story building in downtown thib that was built less than a year ago comes up. Two bedroom apts on each story. Wood floors. Brand new appliances. We speak to the landlord and it seems like the wheels are in motion. I'm excited.

Today I receive a phone call from said roommate. Something about that they only have room for a stackable washer dryer and that we can't afford to buy one. Goes on to say that he found a three bedroom downtown, but the only kicker is that it's 2 hundred more a month than what we have now. And that the girl he's fricking is going to move in too. She doesn't drive. So what it boils down to. I'm being coerced into moving into a small three bedroom that's more expensive just because this broad doesn't have a car. I feel like this situation cannot end well.

I'd rather just live with the 5 year roommate in the 3 bed triplex and pay $450 a month, and have an extra room.

That sounds like college. You don't have a lot of money, so inherently you don't have a lot of choices. Figure out a way to make the best of it, or find new roommates.

An associate of mine lives in DT Thibodaux and is moving out. IDK what he pays for rent though.

Don't be. It's probably section 8 housing.

That's the bitch of it. This guy has been graduated for five years. I just graduated. I make decent money but I am actively looking for better employment. If I could afford a single I would just do that.

Well, this explains a lot about you and the people you associate with.

The pork belly is better. They just fired a good friend of mine though so I am staying away for a little while. Alumni grill is getting good I hear.

I wouldn't do that just yet. You are fresh out of college, so I'd keep paying cheap rent and gaining more experience in the field you're working. After a few years of promotions and saving you can buy. Renting is for the birds.

Move into the 2 bdrm, tell the roommate that either yall split the cost of the W/D or find a new roommate. You don't want to be stuck with the extra rent when he leaves the girl. The upfront cost of the appliances will be offset by the cheaper rent within a year.

If he gets mad that you would rather save your money than appease this random girl, tell him to frick off.

Her gay brother who looks like a bear might rip your head off. Tread lightly. I figure if I get tired of the situation I can convince hick to set me up a cot in the back room at Rene's.
