I had symptoms and got tested and it came back negative

I don't see why people have such an aversion to getting tested for it

It's almost as if you all are being intentionally stupid

Several of my friends and family had to be tested in order to either have surgery or a procedure (colonoscopy). This would be the only reason I would be tested. All of them were negative.

I would get tested if my oncologist suggested that I do so.

Travel requirements. I’m in the Caribbean currently. Would not have happened without getting tested.

I got tested at a clinic that had a drive through. You didn’t even go inside. And I got my test results back the next day. And I’m in Louisiana, which I assume is the least organized/prepared state for testing.

If someone in your family has COVID you are saying that you wouldn’t go get tested to make sure you don’t have it?

My friend is a doctor and he said the whole “testing” thing started in the gay community

Back in the day when “they” couldn’t be out in public they’d all go to the covid testing place to meet up. I always laugh when I see people getting tested. They’re probably all tapping their foot looking for dudes lol

the ONLY reason they are desperate fort people to line up to be tested is so they can say how many new cases they found so the lock down and stupid mask restrictions must continue for 10 more years. its all to keep the absolute power they now have to burn the constitution and deny your rights

Who gives a frick about cases? First it was about how many deaths and now the goal posts have been moved to make it all about the number of people testing positive for covid. Like so the frick what? Herd immunity much? Plus everything we have seen shows that for the mass majority 99.9% of the people you won't die from this. Yes elderly is more vulnerable to the covid, but they are to everything.

Common sense would tell you that after forcing a lock down and requiring people to stay away from each other, that when you open things back up, the number of cases will go up. Sitting at home for 2 weeks isn't going to magically make the covid disappear, and numbers were always going to go back up once everyone starting going back to work and their regular lives. But the thing is, the death rate from covid is continually going further and further down. That is the most important, and then when you look at the kids and healthy adult population (adults not elderly) and you see covid's death rate is even insanely smaller. If healthy adults and children were dropping like flies, then yeah something should be done, but this isn't the case at all or close to it.

Out of curiosity - do you have a wife and kids at home? Did they have to quarantine while you waited on results?

I honestly wouldn’t for pretty much any reason.

I dont want that listed on my medical record.

Something tells me that having that on a medical record will cost people in the future when it comes to insurance and life insurance

Had a family test positive. Had a minor cough so I got tested. Came back negative. It’s the same way you get tested for flu. It’s not a big deal.

Yes I do, and yes they did.

Once it came back negative we went back to normal though.

For me? Travel abroad. I won't get tested now because some countries may not allow travel for people who have tested positive. If testing becomes a condition of travel, I will have no choice but to submit.

Another question - if in the future someone in your family gets a cough, will you again keep everyone home while that person gets tested?

Or are you jaded that you took off work/school out of precaution for a mild symptom?

Pre surgery requirement. Took less than a minute to complete.

I wouldn't get tested even if I had symptoms. The tests are what is fueling little Napoleon Boucher's dictatorial tendencies. I would contact an online doctor that would prescribe the HCQ/Z-Pack/Zinc protocol and get better.
