I NEVER said the stabbing was justified.

I’m a supply chain professor with 23 years of professional supply chain experience. I’d pair it with Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Business Analytics (no particular order). I may recommend Supply Chain Management over Business Analytics only because many supply chain programs teach some business analytics already, but it is program-specific. It would also depend on his interests.

no you just said you held black brains and white brains to different standards

I did not say that.
You're putting words in my mouth or misunderstanding what I said.

UT has an AI minor I believe. Great school. Focus on tech is a must there.
I’ve really enjoyed our intern this summer. Have picked her brain a lot. EE with a focus on AI. I’d lean that direction if I were you.

K, then why is it such a big deal that Metcalf didn’t go get an adult? Young human male brains would seem to complicate that thought process by your argument.

No I'm just using your Mensa logic back at you
if 17 year old brains haven't developed enough to understand
why were you holding Metcalf to the standard that he should have gotten an adult ,he was also 17.
But he was also white, so his brain should have known better

I think an MIS or BA degree would be great if staying around Texas. Lots of great jobs at companies where tech role is more about supporting the business than being a tech first company. Understanding business processes can help in deeply understanding the software businesses use (ERP/CRM systems, BI and Analytics). Could help in understanding the gaps that need to be filled by custom apps or tooling.
Main things we look for in candidates are:
1. Basic coding fundamentals. You don’t need to know everything, but you need to demonstrate you can write clean, readable code and understand why it works.
2. Ability to learn and grow independently or with little guidance.
3. Soft skills (know how to communicate, problem solving)
4. Most importantly, just be a cool. We spend more time with our dev team than our own families so we have to enjoy being around each other

Because all of y'all were insisting that Metcalf had the right, as team leader, king of the tent, etc. to enforce the unspoken rules of tentdom.
Metcalf attended the school that set up the tent.
Should have been his responsibility to find an adult (coach/security/etc.) if another kid his age wouldn't listen.
AM's coach basically told him to act like a leader. A leader wouldn't have been shoving someone. That was the 17 y.o. in him because his ego didn't like the word no and KA egging him on.
The jury ignored the video (if ever shown) where HM stated that both of the twins confronted KA and that AM grabbed KA's backpack when trying to get him to move.
Plenty of IFS in this story. If KA had moved. If AM had left KA alone. If KA didn't have a knife. If AM kept his hands to himself. If AM had called in an adult... any one of these things (and there are more of them) being different would have had a different outcome.

But Metcalf had a 17 year old brain wasn't developed
why are you holding him to that standard that he should have done something instead of faulting the guy with a knife

I’m a Computer Science grad and went into IT Staffing 21 years ago. Great industry if it’s the right company. Sales Engineers do well and are usually more technical, so could be an option. I’m a white guy, too.

Because he was put in charge by his coach to set up his school's area.
Quit playing dumb and making me repeat myself. Reading comprehension is your friend and reading between the lines/assuming is not.

The complaint I heard in my company was that the people in supply chain were never considered for “the big jobs” or anything outside of contracting and procurement.
Supply chain seems to be in demand with good compensation but if that complaint is broadly true, sort of a limit on future opportunities.
