Louisiana people need to stay in Louisiana and make it better. I’m tired of them sneaking into Tennessee and trying to claim asylum.

It's still not good though. For being as big as it is, the city shouldn't have to revolve around LSU football. Spring in Baton Rouge blows.

Not leaving, most of my real estate holdings and business is here as well as my family etc. I also like my house/ neighborhood, restaurants I frequent, friends etc. Also for what I do throughout the year BR is centrally located. I leave often and have other places away from Baton Rouge that give a nice break. Planning my activities to stay away from most of the riff raff in the things I do on a daily basis helps as well

Thought it was crap in '72 when I graduated and made enough cash by '73 to move to LP and never looked back. Never thought it would get as bad as it has.

Family and friends are here.

I love LSU football games and tailgating.

My job is here.

Don’t feel starting over somewhere else

Shitting on BR is the “cool” thing to do on TD. While it’s got more than it’s share of problems, many of which are made worse by the incompetent city government, it’s not the hell on earth that some of y’all make it out to be. I love BR because it’s my hometown even though it’s no longer my home. My parents live there and family is a huge deal to me.

I was on the way home from Houston....I rented a hotel room for one night and then left the next morning. Pretty simple actually.

Yep.

I've lived in BR for over 7 years and I love it here.

It's true. Eventually there will be nowhere to run to.

Ill say this for Baton Rouge, the layout and design of nicer middle class homes is infinitely better then DFW/Houston etc. I love Texas but all of the square shaped homes with two car garage in the front of the house kills me.

Literally one mediocre job offer anywhere else. That isn’t Houston, Atlanta, or a frozen Tundra during winter.

I’d consider those places with a good job offer.

Great point. Throw in Austin, Charlotte, Nashville and Tampa as well. All have way better surrounding areas.

I moved after college and never looked back. When I go back to visit family, I’m disgusted in Louisiana as a whole.
