I was pretty frat before frat was frat. Had a friend with an older brother whose fashion sense (fratty) trickled down to the brother and subsequently to myself and another friend. Grade school was a uniform with blue Eastlands. Once on the street it was mostly Polo, some Izod (before it was crap), some Lacoste, Guess/Levi jeans, Duckhead shorts, Girbaud (before they were what the are now), Nautica (see Girbaud), ditto with Tommy Hilfiger. Shoes were Tretorns, canvas Sperrys, Adidas.

Other than that I was usually wearing a uniform for football, baseball or basketball.

Nike. In fact I'd say that is the single company I have been most loyal to for practically my entire life. Mostly shoes but also training shorts, bathing suits, and more recently dri fit shirts.

In the seventies my mom was stuck on buying me Sedgefield jeans. I had never heard of them before and haven't seen them since.
