BB gun wars with your buddies.
Save S&H Green Stamps given out buying gas or groceries.
Black & White TV kids shows on Saturday mornings.
Catch fireflies and put then in jars making a "flashlight."
In summer, mom put you outside in morning and said "don't come back until lunch time."
Time are different today.

Actually listen to what other people think. Or more specifically actually care about what they're saying.

From TD's 81 year old, here are a few things I remember that your parents (or grandparents) may remember.
Blackout practice during WWII.
Rationing, and ration coupons during WWII.
Hog Killing. (Your job was tend the fire.)
Walking to school.
The first stores with air conditioning.
Your family got a telephone. (Party line, because that was all there was back when.)
Seeing your first airplane.
The atomic bomb; the end of WWII.
Indoor plumbing; city water; electricity.

Collect Coke bottles and walk to the little neighborhood store and get a nickel refund for each bottle to buy candy with.
Playing outside all day,no air conditioning inside, and getting your drink from a water hose.
Slingshots,whiffle ball,tackle football,etc.
I grew up in Hot Springs, the city bus route ran down our street with a bus stop on the corner.Us little kids,by ourselves which is unheard of today, would board the bus for a dime and ride it downtown to see a movie and walk around to the stores.Mr Prichard was the bus driver.
It was a great time to grow up.

Can’t even comprehend how we existed with the bottom two.
The days of yelling at my sister to get off the phone so I could use the dial up internet.

Those damn clackers were lethal..haha.
They seemed to always hit the wrist bone, hurt like hell, then do it again.
I remember arguing with my older sister because she wanted to see some band called the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and I wanted to watch The Scarecrow on the Wonderful World of Disney.
We flipped back and forth til the Beatles came on.

Has anyone mentioned walking to the local store and picking up a pack of cigarettes for your dad and telling them to put it on the ticket?
