I was a kid. Not my best year. My dad was killed in a car accident January 1, 2002.

Airport travel became a big headache after 9/11 but nobody complained because the alternative was still fresh in everyone's minds. Was in college at ULL on my GI bill so life was pretty good back then and just headed over to grandparents for lunch/dinner

Junior year of high school getting stinky pinky and blowjobs every day from my girlfriend who was terrified of having sexy time because she didn’t want to get pregnant then turned into a sex crazed whore after breaking up, having sex with every new boyfriend.

I regret none of it though

Great job with smart people. Bought first house and my brother lived with me to help remodel it. Some psychotic girlfriends kept things interesting. Generally optimistic about future. Lots of freedom.

Was back in LA for a year, setting up a Mortgage Lending Department at a credit union in Shreveport, starting from scratch even though when they hired me I told them the real estate crash was coming.

Fools and their money were soon parted. Was a nice way for me to cash out and pad my resume at the same time before changing careers completely.

Retired from my job and moved from Dallas to Asheville, NC

I love that area but don't think I could stand the Asheville hipsters/progs.

I've been back in Texas for two years - enjoyed the area, but couldn't abide the politics.

How much has your home value gone up since then?

It peaked in 2008, and had not reached that same value when I sold it a couple of years ago.

45-50k or somewhere around there. I lived with my girlfriend and her income was similar. Our rent was basically 50% of our take home pay for 480 sq ft.

I was in college, and working as a server/bartender. Met a woman I was with for 3 years. The Raiders and Lakers were awesome, and Pete Carroll was beginning his run at SC.
