How is the lawsuit coming?

Still don't know 100% if there will be or won't be one. I've got a big law firm in NO of all places that has taken an interest in my case though. They've invested the time and money to gather certified copies of all my medical records and have their medical experts review them (this is ongoing right now) and they've assigned my case to the senior partner in the firm.

So it looks promising, but who knows.

In a six month span I had a child, lost my wife, my job and my brother.

That was pretty damn low.

If not for family and friends and my kids I probably would have said screw it. Glad I didn't.

I'll make snide comments here and there. For example when she's eating French fries and asks if I'd like some, I'll respond with, "No, I'm trying to watch my weight."

Consider having a mature, straight forward conversation with her instead, even if you know it's going to upset her at first. The passive aggressive route is only going to push her further down that path.

If your SO told you that you had put on weight would you be mad or take it as a sign to put in more effort?

What kind of bad advice did you get? I always wonder how much bad therapy is dished out and the patients don't even realize it.

In the first two years of marriage my wife's mother was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer (still cancer free 5 yrs later) and my at the time 15 month son went through a full scale regression into Autism (lost all words and previous personality over the course of a weekend). I hated everyone and everything for over a year. Then most things and most people for another 2 years. Then got life and marriage on track and we have #2 due in May. There is light at the end of the tunnel even if you go a really long time without seeing it.

This is easy. my crazy ex made some vicious allegations in court about me during a hearing to have her removed from the house and from our kids.

Judge threw the book at me, lost house, kids and my reputation..I ended up sleeping in my car at a park in the middle of the day and a guy came up and knocked on my window wanting sex.

Ironically the highest point of my life was later that day when i finally charged my dead cell phone and found a frantic message from my attorney saying the judge realized after the hearing she had perjured herself and called her back in and her story fell apart under questioning and the judge did a 180 on everything she had ruled on that day.

I almost died from the stress that day.
