When I’m bored in the office I’ll sometimes take phone calls from customers that our customer service team would otherwise handle. I do it to break up the monotony for a few minutes. Most people are cool, but you get the older white women who are fricking stupid and have this false sense of superiority because they don’t understand how something works, therefore they don’t realize they’re wrong.
I’m upper management. I don’t answer calls for $10/hour, not that there is anything wrong with that. But if it’s slow, I like to mix it up and entertain myself for a few minutes since it is comically easy to resolve most calls.
It makes me laugh because 9/10 who pull this shite are white trash and live in a trailer or have bars on their windows and somehow think their shitty life is superior to a customer service rep with a real job.

A lot of the time, I present myself as a dumb redneck. I talk with a bit of a coonass drawl; I dress like I don't give a shite about status; and I offer very little information about myself that would convince anyone to the contrary.
My problem is that if I feel truly wronged, I go scorched Earth.
I had a conflict of personalities with a professor at LSU who happened to have the same last name as a few buildings and streets on campus. She crawfished on an extension, and did it publicly in front of the class.
I burned her. I manipulated her rather weak personality via email until she said something for which I questioned her ethics... All the while feigning naivety. She responded in anger and I had her.
Printed all convos and forwarded a summary to the dean of my college, along with the vice chancellor, requesting a meeting. It was granted. Provided full transcripts and signed statements of her instability. Mentioned I felt singled out, discriminated against, and was considering pursuing legal action to recoup all funds paid to LSU as well as damages for time invested in an college which seemed to have an institutional bias against someone like myself...all the while playing up the poor backwoods persona.
She was removed mid semester. She's now at a small college in Georgia.
No regrets.

At work it's funny how our whole c-suite knows my name. Pisses of the arse kissers. I respect their positions from a decision making ability, but they all take shits like I do...so they arent any better than I am as a person.
