What was the last new word you learned?

Let's grow our vocabularies. The last word I learned was syncopate, which means to displace the beats or accents in (music or a rhythm) so that strong beats become weak and vice versa.

There's a difference between knowing that a word is a word and knowing what a word actually means, right?
In that case...platitude.
I knew it was a word, but not how to use it.
And this is coming from a guy who watched Kenneth Branagh's 2013 rendition of MacBeth with subtitles over the weekend.

I'm not sure what flappable means, but I think I heard it used at least 4 times watching football saturday.

Not sure if joking, but....
unflappable is used way more than flappable. Infact, I have never heard flappable used either.
