I went to a co-ed catholic private school. Seeing girls in the hallway everyday in skirts was awesome. I loved having uniform as I could just get dressed in a minute and not care what anyone thinks. Just like at any school their were cliques but since we pay to be there the school took bullying and harassment serious. I think I only got 3 or 4 bad comments towards me during my whole time in HS. Our school had a lot of black students as we're a football powerhouse. A lot of them are on scholarship. By a lot I mean 1 or 2 in each class of 20-25.

I always thought going to public school was lame, then I realized catholic high was way cooler then BRMHS. Just very expensive. You can make some great bros ( yes they have a 1 or 2 blacks and Asians), good education, sports, arts, and quality st joes poon. S joes had some hot girls. Ugly ones, but better then baton rouge high to say the least. And Im black, but ive seen Asian or black kids make good friends here. And every guy loves the blond repressed girls. St Joes hoes! Parkview Baptist had some fine white women....

I never got the stuck up thing

No one was ever like "look at all my money frick you". And I went to a school with some people with serious money.

I think that whole thing is just poors being insecure with being a poor

what? my school had the prudest women on the planet. I think 3 of the 20 in our grade them lost their v card by the time they graduated. and they were fricking teases.

back to the OT: My school was controversial to the point it isn't believable. I met someone who recently started working there and he didn't believe me. Like multiple teachers screwing students on the reg, pranks, all that jazz. I certainly learned more than people who went to public school, but it was also a lot harder. You had to take a test to get in and then they still required a curve where in all classes from As to Cs. Even when the classes had 5 people. Reminds me of another topic.

Nick Saban was at my high school earlier this year. I remember when his daughter attended the school. When he left for Alabama she cleared her locker and just walked out without saying a word. Later that day Dolphin fans wanted his head on a plater.

His daughter is a huge bitch FYI. Mom is a sweet heart.

This was a problem too
If they weren't super prudes, they were sluts and you didnt want to touch them if you liked your health

We got away with a lot of shite. It was hilarious.

Also, prepared us for college much better. ie. taught us independence.

Is that the school that is a national powerhouse in football? St. Thomas Aquinas?

I think our pranks were probably too brutal. Our senior prank was literally trashing the school. the administration never found out though. Someone stuck a bunch of rotting fish in the air vents one time. One of the funnier ones was one guy kept jumping out the window and walking back into class and the teacher never noticed. the school secretary finally saw it on the fricking $20,000 worth of cameras they set up. I'm still pissed about one time. Me and my buddy were skipping class and he started binge drinking off campus. I get a call from the school that i had an appointment so we race back and tell teachers we were in the parking lot. anyway, we get saturday detention. but one of the secrataries swears she saw us "doing drugs" behind the gym.

Instilled religion and morals (even if you resisted at the time). Teachers actually cared....

That kind of thing...

Yep, that's it. I remember Urban Meyer walking into my english class to talk with Duron Carter either freshman or sophomore year. He was still at UF during this time. Being an LSU fan I despised him.

the most stuck up kids are usually the very rich kids at public schools in uppper-middle class areas

It was perfectly normal? We studied, we partied, we played sports. Rich kids got along with middle-class and poor kids. Some had it better than others. Everyone went onto college and most everyone I know is in good shape.

Just don't send your son to Brother Martin. I know all the public schools are terrible in NOLA so ya might want to avoid that route also.
