My brother lives in Portland. That would be a wrong answer. Billings, Montana is the correct answer.

Having lived in both BR and Des Moines I can say they're pretty different.

Des Moines is an awesome city, and basically trumps BR in every category except having a colder keep winter. Anyone who says otherwise has not lived there.

Is Charleston, SC a big enough city for you? The residents of the local unincorporated suburb of West Ashley petition by the hundreds annually to be annexed into Charleston.

There are more instances of this trend nationwide, BR is sadly an administrative armpit. Not all municipalities are armpits. You need to generalize less and get out more. And by get out, I mean get far away from the inbred fundies that are collectively known as the elite of the Great State of Alabama.
