I’ve been at my job for 3 years now. It’s a decent paying job with good benefits but the stress level can be ridiculous. The workload and amount of BS ebbs and flows but for the last few weeks has just been through the roof.

I’m only 30 and for a while I thought I found a career to hang my hat on but I am seriously starting to rethink.

At what point do you say enough is enough and look for something else ?

Edit: it’s financial services industry

There's quite literally never been a more favorable market for the worker. Find a new job

When they wanted all the sales reps to come in at 5:00 in the morning for sales training the day after the election to make sure we didn’t sleep in. Needless to say I didn’t make it and resigned on Thursday.

Take a week off. If you come back feeling exactly the same way after a day or two then it’s time to make a move.

Find another job.

If you have enough in the bank, quit.

Hey bud, there will always be a rush during lunch. Just drop an extra basket of fries at around 11am and you’ll be alright

I think you’re there.

Honestly only you can answer that question. But, If you’re stressed after only 3 years, you’re probably in the wrong career.

What industry?

I feel like I’m in the same boat. Been here 3 years. First 6 months were pretty stressful. Hopefully the last 6 months get better. I make decent money but I want more for the stress. Had another friend of mine call me wanting me to talk to his boss about coming over to his company for almost $15k more plus eligible bonus up to $25-30k.

I know there are possible 2-3 upward positions at my current company coming open within the year. If I don’t get one of them, then I’m probably gonna call my friend.

Just go in everyday and do a real half-assed job. Do the absolute minimum you need to do to not get fired.

Inform my boss (me) that I’m taking some personal time. Then tell my driver to bring me to Destin
