First date type of thing. Any festivals?

First date if the weather is ok I would do Bacchanal.

Drink a few bottles of wine, sit outside, eat good food, listen to some music. Chicks love the ever living frick out of that place.

You'll have to be specific on what you're looking for. Answers could range from fine dining to Octoberfes

Im not sure. I am supposed to meet a girl I havent seen in some time to catch up. I guess its a date? I would prefer something during the day. Voodoo fest is no-go I would think. We could probably just wing it but I wanted to have some ideas to run by her.

Like I said, I would pick a place like Bacchanal or Bayou Wine Garden and just go sit out side and have a few bottles and some food.

I second the Bayou Beer Garden/BWG. It's nice out, there's a huge patio, usually decent parking and TV's to watch the games.

If I am not mistaken, isn't this wkend Halloween in The Quarter? If so, it will be a crazy zoo, in a good way as long as she is not prudish. I have been going for yrs & I always see some things I have never seen before. Everyone is in costume & the gays, totally harmless, take it to the extreme. A crazy crazy nite.

Do yall like good drinks?
There are two new roof top bars that are pretty cool.
One is at the Ponchatrain hotel and one is at the Ace Hotel.

Cuse...Nola brewing, Courtyard and Avenue Pub are very close to each other and are a perfect bar-hop. I've hit these three on the same afternoon many times.

If you wanted a fourth, Urban South isn't much further down Tchoupitoulas. There are some good offerings found only at the brewery.

Thanks for all the flight advice you provide on the travel board

Depends if you're gonna grab her by the pussy or not

For a first date, I always go eat and have beers in the afternoon somewhere with a patio. If it sucks, you can leave. If it goes well, you have all night to grab pussy. All of the girls I know say that they don't like going on complicated first dates with guys. One got stuck going canoeing for 5 hours with a guy that was so nervous, he didn't say anything. Keep it simple stupid.

Took my last date to Cowbell and sat outside

Definitely good 1st date atmosphere. I don't remember there being any TVs out in the yard area so you might actually be able to have a decent conversation. They've got some large margarita/draft beer chalices if I recall correctly. Had a good time the one time I've been.

This past weekend was Oak St. Po-boy Fest. That would have been fun. No fests this weekend coming up though. There are museums, the aquarium and I think the ghost walk or whatever they call,it at City Park. A night time Ghost tour in the quarter might be fun.
