Start flirting with their women. Do so while wearing light colored sweat pants with no underwear. It may help to chub up a bit first.

They will move away from you, taking their thick air with them.

Seriously, read your lease for prohibited activities. Act upon your findings.

Have you tried asking management if another unit is available?

You guys really have no idea how bad this can smell. The food in small amounts is fine. I work around a lot of them and it is truly nauseating. It's like they bathe in the stuff. I can't imagine what their homes smells like

Go buy a Lampe Berger and use the neutral oil until the bottle is empty.

They're expensive and the oil isn't cheap either, but they work.

My wife worked for an agency in The Woodlands, and had Indian people they had to house in apartments. When they left, they had to remove all the furniture, carpets and drapes, send off to have baked in San Antonio to get rid of the smell. Sometimes they had to replace sheet rock. I would absolutely complain to management, this is nothing new to them, I assure you.

A deep cleaning of every inch of the apartment and everything in it along with leaving several bowls of white vinegar out may eventually make the curry smell go away...But you'll never be able to get the smell out of your brain.

That would work if it was lingering in the apartment after a move out. These people will continue to cook and continue to stink up their neighboring apartments.

Walking into a vacant after the curry people move put for tael makes me gag.

You should curry favor with the apartment management. Perhaps they will pay to have the place cleaned.

I dated an Indian chick in high school. It was always weird getting freaky deaky over there with that smell hanging over everything.

My wife and I had a similar situation when we moved into our first apartment. We were told the apartment we were shown had an "issue" they wouldn't define and then asked if we would take the next available one for a $25/month discount.

Of course we said yes.

Turns out, in the two bedroom apartment beneath us, there were 11 Mexicans and a baby living in it.

Our apartment reeked of corn flour and oil and spices pretty much constantly. Mostly the masa smell. My wife and I love authentic Mexican, but being inundated with their culinary exhaust fumes grew tired quickly.

What was worse was that we asked the apartment complex to do something about it, and one, they claimed that the apartments were insulated so we shouldn't be smelling their food unless we had the windows open or were keeping the front door open too long. Second, they claimed that there was no way there could be 11 people living in one apartment as it was against the rules. They said they would "look into it," but their immediate responses to me told me that the complex was a shite-house and we needed to move as soon as possible.

We were very lucky to move out of that place in 7 months without having to pay any kinds of fees or penalties or finish out the contract.

We just moved into a new apt. Fortunately the inside doesn't smell like curry, but the Indian/Pakistani woman living next door does some kinda damn chanting and bell ringing. The worst part are the damn incense sticks she burns on the balcony. They stink to high heaven. I Wanna buy a super soaker and take em out but my SO says that wouldn't be nice. I mean really......I indestand religious freedom but keep that shite within your walls!!!

How to eliminate Curry smell to sell the house?
You will need about two weeks to prepare the house
1. Change all the air filters. Remove and discard curtains, and other upholstered furniture.
2. Wash all the surfaces with Vinegar solution (One cup of water, Two Tablespoons of white vinegar). Spray the carpet, and walls to a damp. Keep the windows open to let the house air-dry.
3. Buy 'Live Microbial Agent' sold at most of the hardware stores. Prepare a spray with equal amount of water. The Microbial agents have a live bacteria that eats odors. Spray the entire house with the live microbial agent (ceilings, walls, carpets, furniture and equipments). Keep the windows open to let the house air-dry for 2 days. Repeat this process 4 more times
4. Paint the house. Add two Tablespoons of vanilla extract to every gallon of paint.
