What time do you head out on Sunday after visiting for the weekend?

I try and be respectful of people’s time, and after spending a weekend somewhere, I get up on Sunday morning and hit the road. And when I say ‘get up’, like any respectful grown man, it’s before 8:00am.
The wife had a friend and her husband come in this weekend. It is now 11:15 and this jack arse is still sitting on my couch in his pajamas having his 3rd cup of coffee. I’m ready to go about my day.
What is protocol here? If noon comes around and they aren’t in the process of packing up and loading the car, is it rude to just leave and go start running my errands, go play a round of golf, or start working in the yard?

They are staying to enjoy you and your wife's company.
I would presume they either pickup the tab for lunch and head out early afternoon or leave early morning.
I am a get on the road while drinking my coffee kinda guy

He's waiting for you to leave so the three some can start

Get up and get the frick out on a Sunday. Earlier the better. The best possible option is to leave a thank you and good bye note by the coffee pot so I read it when I wake up.

I'm usually like you. I've been ready to hit the road for hours now but I'm still visiting family currently.

"Hey, I got some things I need to take care of. I'm gonna run a few errands. I had a good time last night."
Is your wife leaving? She can't entertain them? Maybe your wife likes having them over on a Sunday morning to chit chat. It is her friend, right?

Don't have people visit for the weekend.

Just tell them "if I was you, I think I'd go home"
Thats what my grandfather used to tell people when he was ready for them to leave

You probably shouldn’t have people stay for a weekend if you’re going to be upset over them still being there at 11 am on Sunday

Break the coffee pot over his wife’s head and scream “it’s go time!”

You should have discussed this with your wife. Let her entertain her friends and you do what you have to do.

I bet you are an absolute joy to hang out with

How far away do they live?
That's another factor. It's one thing if they live an 8 hour drive away. It's another if they only live 3 hours away.

Y’all should be out getting brunch. You sound poor.

Are y’all’s wives scissoring right now?

Only 2.5 hours away, and been here since Friday.
It’s her friends, but I’d feel like an arse if I left and went and did my own thing, and I’m sure I’d catch shite for it later...so here I am, entertaining a grown man that doesn’t know how to get out of bed, get dressed, and move on.

You sound like a real man. Scared of his wife.
