I would capture him and put him outside. I see spiders as helpers since they eat other bugs.

I agree. I usually trap and release spiders if possible.

The only good spider, is a dead spider.

Looks like a wolf spider. They’re harmless, and if you can get past the mental scary part, they become a welcomed sight around the house (outside of course).

I found one with about 50 babies on her back in my bathroom. Was able to trap them under a cup and slide a piece of paper underneath. Saved every one and transported them outside.

Not sure if they make webs, I’ve never seen a web, but they are usually found running around hunting. Pretty cool spiders, my favorite.

The looks like the Common Barking Spider, possibly SBD subspecies.

Google Lens says ‘Dark Fishing Spider’ aka Dolomedes tenebrosus. My grandfather says a tarantula of some kind.

Curious as to how accurate Google Lens can be.

None of the AI apps are amazing at identification, but if you want one that actually helps you identify things instead of just spitting out an ID, use iNaturalist. It is location specific, provides comparison photos that are accurate, and uses a broad community to help identify things if you want to participate.

In my experience Google Lens has proven pretty poor at identifying most insects/bugs, and spiders aren't the easiest to ID to begin with.

I saw a wolf spider in person and I had the chills for a few days

Wait until you see a female carrying the entire next generation of baby wolf spiders on her back.

At night, if your flashlight hits them just right, you can see one large set of spider eyes and hundreds of tiny spider eyes shine back at you.

Fun, horror inducing times!

Not a tarantula, I used to scare the girls (who had cooties) with my tarantula on a string as a kid.

Does not look dangerous so try and catch and release outdoors.

If you farm, spiders and snakes are the good guys.

You do not want with in your house or similar enclosed space, especially if you have open flames or sparks.
