I wish someone would make a regular tortilla shaped like the Fritos scoops.

What shape tortilla chip is proper for nachos?
Strips, triangles or round?

Meh those are alright. I forgot about those, but they aren't the same shape as the Fritos scoops. The Fritos kind are just the right size and shape for the amount I like to dip.
The Tostinos are a bit too much.

There are such better tortilla chip options than Tostitos imo

Lots of engineering went into the triangle shape of the tortilla chip. The only debate was whether it should be an equilateral triangle or an isosceles triangle.

This looks like a great batch of tortilla chips to me:

I think the issue is that tostitos are thinner and break too easy, which is why they have that jagged shape for their scoops. Built with the same concept as a bottle cap in mind to give enough strength to hold together. The fritos scoops are thick enough that it's not needed. If you made a tortilla chip as thick as the scoops they would be tough as wood.
Now I could be completely over thinking all of this, but that's my theory.

triangles for large dips and scoops for the finer dips

Hot take: I prefer the regular frito chip over the scoops for dipping.

I guess I will be the first to vote for strips. The ones from Costco are perfect about 1" by 3"...scoop perfect...then if you have your own serving of salsa/queso..the remaining piece after 1 bite is just right for a 2nd dip and you still have a nice flat edge to use

Ideally one shaped like a large frito
I was your second up vote and I’ll fight for you on this one. Fritos scoops are the absolute best chip for chili cheese nachos.
For traditional nachos, triangle chips.

So no Super Nacho afficianados, huh? Besides nacho cheese, seasoned ground beef, refried beans, sour cream, green onions, fresh salsa.
Picketed jalapeños plus sautéed onions and bell peppers.
I also say frick nacho cheese, give me melted cheese all day or a good queso, not that canned shite.

Equilateral, 6 chips per circular tortilla.
