Last two brands I bought were Arc’teryx and Fjallraven. I go by fit

merino is the best of both worlds because it doesn't smell and it regulates body temperature

Truth. I prefer wool fabrics over cotton and synthetics for most of my clothes .

Of course if you want e-cred with the utes I'm sure there's some ocean/coast/fish/vines/southern/tide/marsh/swamp/dixie/fields/barn brand that's hot right now if that's your speed.

Not sure those have been popular since the Truman administration.

I like this brand but they barely have any slim fit options.

Serious or just trolling? Would you really be caught in a obnoxious billboard sized ghetto RL Polo shirt? Why not make it even another three to four times larger..and put the logo down the middle of the front? It wouldn't be any more clown clothish.

It's Monday morning , I'll give you a pass for missing the sarcasm.

I mostly buy them from LL Bean because they are $35. No logos or anything. I'm going for that school uniform look

Performance fabric is so much better than cotton. Leave a cotton polo in the dryer after it stops for any length of time and the cotton shirt is a wrinkled mess. 2 of the PM’s I got will not wrinkle. 1 is apparently a little different and it wrinkles badly but the fabric is still very comfortable.

traditional Ralph Lauren Polo pique knit shirts, with the small horse of course, will NEVER go out of style... hell, the fact that what you are asking about is a pique knit shirt and it's known as a "polo" shirt confirms that...

same as how when say get me a "coke" you may or may not be asking specifically for a Coca Cola, but rather just a vague request for a soft drink...

Performance fabric is made out of plastic, AKA not breathable. frick wearing a plastic shirt when it's hot as ball outside in a casual /business casual setting.

Yea, I assume performance material is different than just polyester, but if I wear shirts that are polyester I get smelly in them far faster than with cotton.

I feel like their cut generally is better, no? Unless you want to look like the typical OT'er who wears a size that is at least two sizes too big for them and the "short" sleeves fall below the elbow.

In style? Wear what you like and looks good on you. Who cares what the other guy is wearing.
