Who do you wish you could live up to? My father was mine and I am lacking in living up to him! I wish I could be the man that he was.

Dad. By far. He's honest for no other reason than it doesn't make sense for him to be dishonest.

My biggest fear in life is living in a world without my father.

Ironically/not ironically as a teen I hated him and couldn't wait to get rich and never talk to him again.

ETA: he's had a positive effect both professionally and personally on every person he's ever met. I can tell when I talk to him now that I've gotten older how much I mean to him, but I still can't say with any conviction that I've had a positive influence on him, the most important person in my life. To me I haven't done jack that he should be proud of yet he still decides to be proud of me.

If I ever stop posting suddenly y'all will know why.

It's a hard toss between my paternal and maternal grandfathers. Both were great, succcessful men, but utterly different in a variety of ways. A swindling, womanizing, businessman and gambler, and an erudite, staid, stoic, rocket computer scientist. I am incredibly grateful for both. I miss you, Dodger and Big Daddy.

He's more proud of you than you could imagine. That's what unconditional love is.

I guarantee you that he thinks of you daily and you make him smile.

My grandpa. Has always been the most consistent and influential male figure in my life. Taught me how to hunt, fish, and drive. He's the reason I went into the field I did.

Main reason I still pull for LSU too (he's a big LSU fan).

1. It's pretty cool that your dad is Rick Ryder.

2. He looks puny next to Scott Hall and got the shite kicked out of him

My Father taught me how to be a good man. He then taught me what kind of man I didn't want to be. I owe him for both.
