What NASCAR races should I attend before I die?

I’ve only been to the Brickyard (Indy). Obviously Daytona, Bristol, Martinsville, and Talladega are on my bucket list. Any others you’ve attend that you would tell others to go to or go back to yourself?

We are just two different people because I hope to die before attending any NASCAR races.

From what I hear, it’s not what it used to be.

If you can’t go to a nascar race and enjoy it, you just aren’t a man. That’s all there is to it. The noise those cars make, the smell of racing fuel...it’s an incredible experience.

Texas is a good one, Atlanta is a fast track too. I’ve always wanted to go to Michigan but never had the chance.

Talladega has the better party atmosphere. Daytona has more history/mistique to it.

The cool thing with the racing at Dega is the stripe is past the apex of the dogleg, so trying to pull a Daytona style move at the end may not work because you have a few hundred feet to go after coming through the trioval.

This is a good point. I don't follow hockey, but I've been to a few Sharks games and I enjoy it every time. I'm not a baseball fan, but back in college I took BART to a few A's games (I saw Bo Jackson in person) and enjoyed it. I'm not a NASCAR fan but I know I would be impressed by 64 tons of steel thundering by at 180 mph.

Well said and spot-on.

If you're going to Dega from here, leave time in the trip to stop at International Motorsports Hall of Fame. 2-3 hours, max

Daytona has more stuff to do around the area, FWIW.

The races are a lot more fun in person and it's cool that they let you bring coolers in.

Nowadays it’s just the hardcore fans that go. Only true racists still go to nascar

I noticed that at Dega in the fall. It was odd after smelling that heavy fuel for so many years in the early 00's.

I'd recommend Atlanta.
