My parents listened to kick arse music.

they did however introduce me to Roy Clark's music. His guitar playing still gives me chills sometimes.

Michael Bolton

My mom would play that shite on long car rides, till I destroyed the cassette tape in retaliation for throwing away my cassette tapes. She also listened to a lot of Bon Jovi, prince, heart, reo speedwagon, 2 live crew..and I didnt mind that shite.

Then another side of my family would always be listening to Carman, Petra, Keith Green, etc..

But that shite was more entertaining than Michael Bolton or bette midler wind beneath my wings frickery

I don't hate it now but when I was a kid I definitely had plenty enough of "These Boots Were Made for Walking " by Nancy Sinatra.

I love all the stuff my parents listened to. Well, most of it.

And didnt like any of it back then.

Johnny Cash, Nat King Cole, The Carpenters, Neil Diamond, The Searchers, Peter Paul & Mary

Its good music, i just didnt appreciate it as a teen

Pretty much everything my dad liked i like now.

Mom used to like soundtracks, and would play The Sound of Music, Dr.Zhivago, and shite like that. I still dont like those.

*edit* I see Barbara Streisand mentioned here a lot after I posted. They both player her records too and I cant stand her then or now

Dad's got great taste in music and Mom too for the most part. However, during Christmas time Mom breaks out Anne Murry. Just turrible....
