Philadelphia Museum of Art is a pretty impressive building. (Rocky ran up its steps.) I enjoyed it very much.

The Henry Ford Museum outside of Detroit in Dearborn is one of the best museums I've ever been to. It houses Ford's and Edison's collections. Lincoln's bloody chair, the limo Kennedy was assassinated in and Rosa Park's bus are a few of the most historical items. There are tons of old vehicles, machines and pop culture items on display.

There is also a museum of natural history in Philadelphia on the same circle as The Philly Museum of Art. (which I also have ran up the steps).

The Henry Ford
The Henry Ford is a large indoor and outdoor history museum complex and a National Historic Landmark in the Metro Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Michigan.

Chicago Institute of Art is world class.
As is the Field Museum in Chicago. Just visited both over the summer, and you could spend days in each museum and not see everything.

The Air Force museum in Dayton is the best aviation museum in the Nation hands down. I love the Udvar Hazy center, but I spent two full days at the museum in Dayton and it made me go home and start flying right away.

Barber is incredible. I also believe the Civil Rights Museum in Birmingham is a must see.

This is a uniquely Vegas museum... LV Mob Museum
It's right by Fremont Street, which can be quite the unusual museum in its own right. Also, if you're a fan of Pawn Stars, their shop is a shot walk away.
