I agree with the guy on a good mouse. But that cracked me up

Logitech M550. I have 2 and they are both connected via bluetooth
Bluetooth is key, sucks when you forget your dongle in a docking station.

The last trackball I used was 35 years ago, the original Kinsington. Haven't used one since. They're non starters if you need to drag it into a conference room. But, with something like an MS Surface mouse (I have the old school one with buttons, not touch only) that's my travel mouse.
On desktop I use Glorious gaming mice because they're light. I like corded.
Thumb driven seems to put a lot of stress in one place, whereas hand driven gives you multiple options for movement (arm, elbow, hand.) Just buy a trackball off of eBay and try it out.

Today is the day I learned about a side-scrollng, thumb-controlled feature on a computer mouse.
I am fixing to put in an IT ticket to request one of those there ergonomic computer mouses. I think $130 might be too much but maybe I can get the $80 version. Gotta get the approval from the IT folks. Life
Thank you.

People are generally not just going into a conference room, once. They're going from one to another, back to their desk, then to a different conference room, etc. It is leagues different in terms of hauling shite around than this:

A cheap little Logitec wireless mini mouse. One that I can put in my pocket when I leave the computer. It cost $15 or $16.

Trackballs are amazing. Better on the wrist, gaming, no misinputs. Kinda an autistic preferrance but once you get hooked on one, it sticks.

Absolutely love the functionality, but the ergonomics suck

Logitech G602. On my second one over 8 years, will hold onto this one as long as possible. It's the best one ever created.

I worked on a shared Console that had a trackball. After about 3 months bought my own standard mouse and plugged it up when I got to work. A few days using the track ball and my thumb was killing me. Whatever tendon that is hated the track ball.
