It's no mystery. Alcohol lowers inhibitions (my college self thanks God above) so it stands to reason that an a-hole will would self-impose a cease and desist order on his 'assholery control' mechanism and operate conscience-free once he's good and lubricated.
ETA: And I hate that "I have an allergic reaction" BS excuse. No you fricking don't, you're just an a-hole.

I never understood this.... When I did drink..I was a happy drinker.. Always wanted to make everybody laugh......... I drank a lot but very few times where I was actually DRUNK... I just loved to catch a great buzz and enjoy whatever I was doing at the time... The music always seemed to sound better and the chicks always seemed to look better... I did have one instance where the chick was a 10 at 2 and then a 2 at 10 though...That was a bad morning....

This doesn't really follow. It isn't just an a-hole person following through on things that he wanted to do the entire time but suppressed. That alcohol shows who you truly are attitude is completely innacurate. Alcohol clouds thinking to where you aren't able to understand how actions affect other people as well as when you are sober and you aren't capable of expressing yourself as well either.
It isn't that some true version of people comes out of them when they are drunk. It's that some stupid version of the person comes out.

Angry drunks are the worst.
I will, however, be a spiteful passive aggressive arse to a sig other on occasion. That happens to every couple at some point. But with Ex1 it was damned near every time b/c I didn't like her.

I am pretty chill. Most people can't tell if I am drunk. In my younger days I got in fights but I think that was more age than alcohol
