Shreve. My good friends mom, who was the PTA president and wife of a very prominent local church pastor, left him for our dyke principal. True story.
She was the Assistant Principal when I was there.
The most memorable thing that happened when I was there was when white freaks got in a fight with some black dudes over weed. The minor skirmish was blown up to a race riot so we had cops in riot gear in the halls for a few days. It was all very amusing because no one was ever in any danger or threatened.

Yep. He was a Coach in Dixie Youth while going to college. Used to hang out at his house, he told some interesting stories...
Went on to coach at Jesuit (s'port) and NSU.

MCHS '88. Broadmore beating us in basketball as juniors still stings. Up 2 with 3 seconds left and lose. And this was the year before the 3 point shot came along.

Thibodaux High, best party crew ever. Best bon fires, rented hotel rooms parties or the life of everyone else’s parties. Did some dumb shite and got very lucky. Trying to steer my kids the other direction

Opelousas High School
School held a play for MLK day and very little of the white students attended. Black students protested and got on the news.
Otherwise, just daily fights over drugs or relationships.

Bolton High School
Played 2 yrs varsity baseball with Warren Morris. Still have his green Easton he used all 4 yrs.
do they still have that tile basketball floor?
LaGrange. L.C.
People did so well in the rallies 1/3rd of 247 got scholarships.
Basketball team was great but teeny. Lost a couple to teams with centers bigger than our guys who could make free throws and hit jumpers from 8 to 16 feet. Pg got two years in aba. forward a ufa summer only with 76ers.
Football lost in finals to istrouma one year, i think warren easten the other. Our middle linebacker was all state. Broke thumb in practice. No go.
Warren Easton ran up the middle for two long tds in a cold rain.
We beat spring hill ooc 15-14 on a blocked kick by the mlb. Spring hill won state in the next down size.
They dominated us and lost anyway. Years later dudes who played for spring hill whined to me about that game. Refs.
We beat lake charles high in chess.
Our moment on the pre-day announcements.
