What kind of spider is this?

The kids were playing with it out back. Red is on the top not abdomen so definitely not a black widow.

Male black widow. Not poisonous. He breeds the female she kills him.

Males are definitely venomous too, however their "fangs" aren't long enough to inject into a human since the males are significantly smaller than the females.

This might be a transgender spider - definitely has the markings of a male but it is deep black (most males are lighter) and it is a good size spider. I assume it is male, but it is a large one.

I was going to put it on my arm but then I thought I might be crossing the fine line between dumbass and redass.
