What kind of a douchebag puts a guitar as carry-on

This has to be the worst. Had to check my bag thanks to some douchebag who had to have his tunes. That guitar was big enough to take up enough space for 4 roll-ons. That person better be in a fricking band, because that is such a douchebag move to take up that much overhead from people who have actual essentials with them. He also broke to the front of the line saying “Sorry guys, I need the overhead.”

Seriously, is there a bigger douchebag move you can do on a plane than that?

The kind that doesn't want his guitar destroyed by baggage handlers.

If it’s allowed, how is that a douche move?

I’d say bringing a crying baby is worse.

He couldn't just sit in his seat and put it in front of him?

Guitar case is probably full of clothes and shoes. He is laughing at you. Invite him to Sonic.

I looked it up, and apparently airlines started allowing this since 2009. Sorry, but the guitar should be checked.

Well the airline disagrees so your opinion doesn’t matter.

They airlines don’t want to be responsible for breaking instruments and other value items so they would rather it be carried on. Usually they can put it in the coat closet up front if there is room.

Not allowed by airlines. You cant have obstructing objects that cannot be placed either entirely under the seat in front of you, or in an overhead compartment. Safety reasons in the event of an emergency.

Agreed. A lot of people pack their luggage in the mini roll on suitcases specifically to avoid having to check in their luggage. and some dip shite can come along and take up a few spaces. Guitars should have to be checked in.

I wouldn't know. There is plenty of room on my private jet for all sorts of things.

Again, it’s allowed by the airline so your opinion is worthless unless you become CEO and change the policy.
