Got 3 kids here. My advice is this:
Don’t worry too much about doing things wrong. Just help your wife as much as you can. It’s hard to mess it up, really. Just look at all the dumb trashy people out there with 10 kids running around unsupervised in the front yard. How in the world did they all survive? All you need to do is be there and help out.

If he's circumcised, it's your duty to protect the penis.

Good stuff man!
When they are sick and coughing you check on them every 5 minutes, when healthy you still check every 5 minutes because it’s to quiet.
Stand your ground with MIL. Mine weaseled her way into the deliver room, passed out and split her head open, 9 stitches!!!!

I don't know a whole lot more than that after 17 years. You'll be alright.
I'm still figuring it out after 11. I just wish my daughter didn't look 14 already. Choppy waters ahead. Time to load the shotgun.

And when they don't sleep you wonder why and when they sleep too long you sneak in and check on them.

Another thing. Im not much of a drinker but I could really use a beer right now. A big cold beer and I would be out like a light.

Congrats! Being a dad is one of the most meaningful things you’ll ever do. The days are long and the years are short.
For #3 on your list, I suggest getting one of those monitors with a sensor pad that detects movement and sounds an alarm when it doesn’t detect it. It’ll take a bit to calibrate, and you most likely will get a false alarm or two that will terrify you, but it certainly gave me the peace of mind to be able to sleep instead of checking on the baby every 5 minutes.

You need to chill out and remember that your wife is someone’s baby too.

She didn’t do anything to me, it was my wife she bossed around. The only thing my wife was bothered by all day was her mom. I just kept my mouth shut.
